Since July, 2014 all skills from Studio Terrain were transferred to the Fincon Consulting Italia, where a geotechnical division was opened.

Our engineers are involved since more than twenty years in structural, geotechnical and special foundation problem solutions. Fincon blends experience of Prof. Eng. Carlo Castiglioni of the Politecnico di Milano in steel structures, Dr. Alper Kanyilmaz in seismic engineering and Dr. Eng. Angelo Rabuffetti in foundation analysis and design. Since his origin, Fincon has dynamically grew up in a broad technical and productive network. Specialized collaborations were stated with Professional Geologists operating in the fields of soil investigation, geomorphology survey and hydrogeology.

Starting from foundation engineering, analysis and design practice were formerly extended to the soil and foundation improvement, then to the improvement of concrete formed, masonry and steel structures, and finally to the dynamic and seismic structural computations.

The engineers of Fincon Consulting Italia made continuous refinements in design practice, resulting in constant improvement of operational standards and creative issue of specific softwares . In addition to the main professional task, some very effective computer routines were developed, on the base of a fifteen years of satisfactory experience in diaphragm wall design and slope stability analysis.

The two-dimensional finite elements FEA Slope algorithms can in facts re-define the standards in slope stability analysis.

The mono-dimensional FEM program Diaframma is a powerful tool in diaphragm, sheet pile, micropile walls design.

All programs were conceived, developed and refined by professional people working every day in geotechnical field, as tool to be regularly updated for help in his own work.

Some technical publications were also issued with the aim of disseminate best geotechnical practices, starting from Italy.

In few words, Fincon is used to provide reliable solutions and specialized softwares, developed by professional people for professional use, implemented to solve geotechnical and structural problems.
